Breca Tracy, Ph.D.
Managing Director

Dr. Tracy is an Managing Director for Emergent Technologies, Inc. (ETI) and currently serves on the management team for the ETI portfolio company, Caisson Biotech, leading the clinical and biological division.

As Managing Director, Dr. Tracy is involved in all operational, marketing, and business research activities. Dr. Tracy assists in the analysis of new technologies at universities and composes initial and ongoing portfolio company strategies including the technical, business, grant, and intellectual property strategy. Dr. Tracy also focuses on establishing partnerships to successfully commercialize products. Dr. Tracy joined ETI in August of 2007 after obtaining her Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Dr. Tracy’s graduate work focused on the chemoenzymatic synthesis of glycosaminoglycan (GAG) oligosaccharides and characterization of protein/hyaluronan interactions. Dr. Tracy also holds a B.S. from Stephens College.
